This 2022 candidate is already spending big on Facebook ads
The U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania will be one of the most competitive in the nation
Political ads on Facebook have only been back online for less than two weeks, but that hasn’t stopped one prospective 2022 candidate from ramping up his campaign on the social media site.
Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman, who is running in the Democratic primary for the state’s open U.S. Senate seat next year, is the largest spender on Facebook ads in the past two weeks. From March 4th - March 15th, his campaign spent $212,468 on fundraising and acquisition ads trying to build the war chest required to win what is expected to be a competitive Democratic Primary.
Several of his ads, produced by Middle Seat, were a hit among strategists online this week, as they feature the Fetterman family dog Levi in a comical fundraising appeal.
